Since 2003, October has been recognized as a National Cybersecurity Awareness Month which is observed in the United States of America. Started by the National Cyber Security Division within the Department of Homeland Security and the nonprofit National Cybersecurity Alliance. The theme of this year is, “Own IT | Secure IT | Protect IT,” focuses on promoting personal accountability and positive behaviour when it comes to cybersecurity.
Security risks are common and can cause massive amounts of damage when an attack takes place. National Cyber Security Awareness Month is an important reminder to take action to protect your business and critical data from today’s emerging cyber threats like DDoS attacks, web-based attacks, application-layer DDoS attacks and many more. We’ll have to understand that:
“Cybersecurity – Making Our Digital World More Secure” ? is everyone’s responsibility.
